Zack Snyder’s Army Of The Dead reviews have arrived. Here’s what critics have to say about the Netflix zombie movie
It’s safe to say that Zack Snyder has had a pretty good year so far. His director’s Justice League cut was finally released in March, and now we get his zombie-heist-action thriller Army of the Dead, which he co-directed and wrote with Joby Harold and Shay Hatten. The cast consists of Dave Bautista (who turned down a role in James Gunn’s upcoming The Suicide Squad for that part), Ella Purnell, Ana de la Reguera, Matthias Schweighöfer, Nora Arnezeder and Tig Notaro.
In Army of the Dead, a group of mercenaries play the ultimate game of chance after a zombie outbreak in Las Vegas and travel to the quarantine zone to commit a huge robbery. The action thriller will debut in select theaters on May 14 and on Netflix on May 21 (and that release is a big deal for Netflix, by the way). Early reactions to the film were already posted on social media and were overwhelmingly positive! Now critics have started publishing their reviews. Let’s look at that.
