NYC rap legend Black Rob was rushed to the hospital yesterday, MTO News confirmed – after complaining of breathing problems.
The news couldn’t come at a worse time for NYC, which is currently mourning the death of another legendary hometown rapper, DMX.
Black Rob’s manager posted a video on Instagram this morning showing Black Robb in a hospital gown looking very sick. However, he did not reveal any details about what illness the legendary rapper suffers from.
Here is the video:
Black Rob, real name Robert Ross, is a rapper who was formerly under contract with Bad Boy. He was best known for the 2000 hit single “Whoa!” Which hit the Billboard Hot 100.
Black Rob has been plagued by health problems for years. Sometime in late 2014 / early 2015, Ross suffered a minor stroke, likely due to high blood pressure.
He has since recovered, saying in April 2015 that he felt better after adopting a healthier lifestyle by giving up drinking and starting to eat better. “I had to change my health regime and how I eat. That’s it. I exercise and try to keep it up,” said Rob. “I don’t drink anymore.”
He is the father of four children, Kayli, Rianna, Diamond and Million.
