Toy Story was printed 25 years in the past. Pixar celebrates with its followers

Can you believe it's been 25 years since we met Woody and Buzz Lightyear in the Pixar classic? Toy story? The comedic animated adventure that follows the lives of multiple toys behind closed doors when the kids are away first hit cinemas in 1995. And it immediately became a blockbuster hit that spawned a franchise that includes 4 movies and counting. Several animated short films, a spin-off TV series, and some TV specials. Today Pixar celebrates the 25th anniversary of the film that started it all and shares this unique new art with fans of all ages.

Toy Story is an American computer animated comedy film from 1995 produced by Pixar Animation Studios and published by Walt Disney Pictures. John Lasseter's debut feature film directing was the first fully computer-animated feature film, as well as Pixar's first feature film.

In the film, Woody (Tom Hanks), a kind hearted cowboy doll owned by a boy named Andy (John Morris), sees his position as Andy's favorite toy compromised when his parents buy him a Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) sale number. Worse, the arrogant Buzz thinks he's a real spaceman on a mission to return to his home planet. When Andy's family moves into a new house, Woody and Buzz must escape the clutches of poorly adjusted neighbor Sid Phillips (Erik von Detten) and reunite with their boy.

In addition to the new art that Pixar released to celebrate Toy Story and its 25th anniversary, the studio is also showing off some cool concept art that takes a first look at Buzz and Woody in their original conception.

Disney + is also participating. They insist that the only way to have this lazy, curfew-laden Sunday is to marathon all of the movies. Each can be streamed exclusively on Disney +, including the original Toy Story, the first sequel to Toy Story 2 released in November 1999, the hugely popular Toy Story 3 released more than a decade later in 2010, and the current version is the last, but perhaps not the last, sequel to Toy Story 4, which was released in 2019.

Jon Erlichman is also fun and offers a look at how the film was actually made. It shows some early animation on a very old computer. Toy Story was a marvel of innovation and technology when it was first released. You can see how this came about in the following tweet.

In keeping with the great tradition of Toy Story, Forky Asks a Question is currently also being streamed on Disney +. There are also several short films and even an animated Buzz Lightyear spin-off series to see if you are inclined to do so. Many fans have volunteered to wish the film a happy 25th birthday.

As a person who basically grew up with nothing BUT animated films, I honestly don't think the first toy story deserves all the black it gets these days

But knowing that this movie is now essentially 25 years old, I am happy to say that this scene will be amazing forever !!

Toy Story hit theaters 25 years ago. And it has revolutionized animated films as we know them. With its excellent story, charming animation, fantastic writing, and lovable characters, it's still a film that has endured after all these years.
