The release date of A Quiet Place 2 changes in theaters on Memorial Day

After several release delays due to the pandemic and huge speculation about a streaming release on Paramount + A quiet place 2 finally has a confirmed release date. The film, which was originally scheduled to be released in March 2020, was one of the first to achieve success in theater shutdowns around the world. Earlier this year the film’s release was delayed for the third time, now it has a confirmed release date.

John Krasinski, who wrote and directed A Quiet Place 2, went to his Twitter account to confirm a Memorial Day release for the film. Praising the audience’s long wait for the breathtaking thriller to continue, Krasinski wrote: “They always say that good things come to those who wait. Well … I think we’ve waited long enough. A QUIET PLACE PART II – REMEMBRANCE DAY. “

The studio has also rescheduled the next episode of Fast and Furious, F9, for release until June 25, 2021.

In the sequel to A Quiet Place, A Quiet Place, Part II, the original cast members Emily Blunt, Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds return, while Cillian Murphy and Djimon Hounsou join the plot as new additions. John Krasinski, who led the cast in the previous film, is returning to repeat his role in newly added flashback sequences. Krasinski’s A Quiet Place received critical acclaim, which he described as a “love letter to his children”. The first film received multiple nominations, with Emily Blunt winning the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Achievement in a Supporting Actress.

The official recap of A Quiet Place: Part II reads: After the deadly events at home, the Abbott family must now face the horrors of the outside world as they silently continue their struggle for survival. Forced to venture into the unknown, you quickly realize that the creatures that hunt for sounds aren’t the only threats lurking behind the sandy path.

Directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place 2 will also be made available for streaming 45 days after it opened in theaters on Memorial Day.
