Superman Black Swimsuit particulars revealed for Snyder Reduce

“When we saw it we all sat back and said, ‘Wow, are we really doing this?'”

Fans of Zack Snyder’s Justice League received new information about Superman’s black suit as a director Zack Snyder participated in an IGN Fan Fest 2021 panel this weekend. The panel, titled “Justice League: Snyder Editing with Zack Snyder,” opened with an extensive discussion about his new HBO Max film. One of the liveliest highlights of the panel was new footage of a CG sequence featuring the Mother Boxes, created as a key element of Snyder’s vision of the Justice League.

Another highlight of Snyder Cut’s IGN Fanfest panel was Snyder’s insights into the decision to include Superman’s black suit in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Snyder Cut fans first learned that Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be showing off Superman’s black suit when the first clip from the film was released in July 2020. Since then, teasers and trailers of the Justice League have appeared in various Snyder Cut shots of Superman in his memorable black and silver suit.

With all of the black suit footage circulating on the internet, it is only natural that the topic should come up during the IGN Fan Fest panel. Snyder first discussed how he tried to get Superman’s black suit in Zack Snyder’s Justice League. He told IGN

“I was a great lawyer [of the black suit] and [Warner Bros.] weren’t so much and we would go back and forth. I said, “Okay, at least let me do a few tests to see if I can put it in the black suit and what it would look like.” We came up with a method that we could use to easily transform the suit (using the existing suit) into the black and silver suit you see in the movie. We knew exactly how to do it when we looked at it, and like I said, it was always my intention to have him in this suit and it’s lovely that he is in it. ”

Snyder went on, touching how satisfying it was to see it all come together on the screen: “It was cool, yeah, I have to admit, because the first thing we did was do a quick test to make sure we all got ours Had ducks in a row When we saw it we all sat back and said, ‘Wow, are we really doing this?’ ”

What Snyder didn’t discuss – and what will no doubt be fun if it happens on screen – is how changing the suit color affects Superman’s Snyder Cut bow. Trading in the familiar blue and red suit is sure to raise an eyebrow or two. Hopefully there is a thoughtful explanation of how the new suit plays with the other Snyder Cut characters.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League premieres on HBO Max on March 18.
