Seniors ready in line for the COVID-19 vaccine are being mistakenly labeled as an “unlawful rave”.
COVID-19 vaccines are currently being distributed worldwide, prioritized for people over 80 and immunocompromised. What should have been a moment of potential freedom and less worry turned into a wrong priorities case for a group of seniors waiting in line for the vaccine in Essex, England last Friday when concerned neighbors called the police and assumed they were that it was a line for an "illegal rave."
On the one hand, Britain has had its own epidemic of illegal raves throughout the pandemic. On the other hand, any closer look at the "participants" should have alerted the alarmed neighbors to what was actually going on.
“It was really funny when the police arrived when they were told there was a 'rave' going on in the Saxon Hall – only to find 80- and 90-year-olds on wheelchairs, frames and walking sticks patiently turn on their vaccinations, ”said Dennis Baum, chairman of the Saxon hall, opposite the local sales point.

Despite the confusion, the seniors were pleased with the vaccine and the police considered the report complete.
