New Thor four set pictures verify the return of Matt Damon & Luke Hemsworth

Looks like Taika Waititi Thor: love and thunderwill, like its predecessor, strive for a humorous and enticingly funny narrative. Among all the hilarious comedic sequences in Thor: Ragnarok, one particularly amazing and fantastic was the Asgardian play, an in-movie production of Loki’s “Death” in The Dark World. In addition, actors Sam Neil, Matt Damon and Luke Hemsworth played Odin, Loki and Thor.

The scene had no significant connection to the movie or the MCU, but it was fun to see these familiar faces of Hollywood work with the cast of the stars, and that too in a Marvel movie. According to reports, both Matt Damon and Luke Hemsworth will return for Love and Thunder as well, and most likely than their previous roles, the reincarnations of Loki and Thor.

In the set photos that surfaced on Twitter, both Matt Damon and Luke Hemsworth wear the exact same outfits Chris Hemsworth (real Thor) and Tom Hiddleston (real Loki) wore at the time of their meeting with Doctor Strange, followed by their father, Odin’s death, and Hela’s eventual release from prison. It seems that the same sequence could be staged again. Perhaps Taika Waititi plans to begin his film with a recap of the past, but in his own humorous way; and what could be nicer than playing a summary with “actors”.

Additionally, it’s up to the MCU to nod down small details and moments from previous films. Earlier this year, Randall Park’s Jimmy Woo introduced himself to WandaVision Agent Monica Rambeau by pulling his FBI card out of his sleeve on the Disney + series. In Ant-Man, Woo showed interest in such card tricks after seeing Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang master them. While these details seem really insignificant, fans love these little moments of connection that also affect character development.

Thor: Ragnarok from Taika Waititi brought a whole new kind of humor-action mix. The film showed Thor in a whole new light and brought some serious changes in character development for Loki and Bruce Banner. The film eventually gave Marvel shiploads in box office yields and proved to be a decent relief right before the next MCU entry, Dark and Twisted Avengers: Infinity War. Probably this was why Marvel renewed “Thor” Hemsworth’s contract and approved the fourth Thor film. This marked the first time in the MCU that a character got more than one trilogy.

In addition to Matt Damon and Luke Hemsworth, Thor: Love And Thunder would see Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster return and take on the mantle of Mighty Thor. Plus, Tessa Thompson would return as Valkyrie while the entire Guardians of the Galaxy team would join the God of Thunder in his new quest against Gorr, the Butcher, played by former Dark Knight Christian Bale. And it’s rumored that Brie Larson will return as Captain Marvel, but that hasn’t been confirmed yet.
