Moff Gideon actor Giancarlo Esposito says The Mandalorian Season 2 will delve further into Star Wars history. Additionally, the actor announced that we will see more of his vicious character over the course of this current season, and possibly season three. In the final episode, fans were finally treated to a little more of Gideon, which also teased some Darth Vader-looking armor. The fans had a lot of questions about the future.
When asked about the Mandalorian Season 2 and the motives of Moff Gideon, Giancarlo Esposito was unable to go into certain details, especially when it came to the questions posed by Darth Vader. "It is the dream of every adult male-child to be equated in some way with Darth Vader. But I don't wear a helmet. I don't know what the plot might bring in terms of Moff Gideon's relationship with Darth Vader. But I certainly have correlates one in my own brain. ”What it might reveal is what you can read below.
"I'm going to tease the past. We can refer to the historical nature of the mythology, which has already been established war of stars Incarnations. This particular incarnation enables us, as family members, to really plant the seeds to create a more cohesive world. I love the fact that we are on such a futuristic show that draws on history and knowledge of what a warrior really is and where the line between good and bad is sometimes blurred with desire. It enables me to dream really big and to realize that there is hope again, no matter what we want to do in life, when we have the help of people and beings who share the same feelings. "
Moff Gideon was after the child for his blood, though we're still not entirely sure why. The Mandalorian Season 2 has started introducing some new elements around the child and their story, but there are still many questions that need to be answered. "I think we're all trying to find out what he [Moff Gideon] really wants. Somewhere in my brain I'm holding out and he's got an ethical consideration here," says Giancarlo Esposito.
Giancarlo Esposito previously vexed that he and Mando will get into intense fights in Season 2 of The Mandalorian. When asked about this aspect of the show recently, the actor acted shyly, noting that he always trains for his acting roles because he is so "physical" as "actor." So there will be a lot of battles and stormtroopers and all the dark ones Soldiers – everyone will get involved. We're all in a new place to bring it home. I'm so excited to be part of the show is the best there is, "says Esposito.
It seems that The Mandalorian season two continues to raise more questions than answers as it comes to an end. For now, Mando and the kid will continue their journey to meet up with Ahsoka Tano and see where she fits into the whole plot. Hopefully we will learn more about this trip later this week. The interview with Giancarlo Esposito was originally conducted by Entertainment Weekly.
