Males in Kilts’ Sam Heughan on shedding that skinny dipping wager (and what a season 2 rematch would possibly appear like)
One of Starz’s men in kilts was decidedly out of his own in the final moments of this week’s episode.
In the second installment of the travel series, Graham McTavish and Sam Heughan explored the world of Scottish sport. They lifted heavy stones. They tried their hand at Highland Games events like tug-of-war and throwing the caber. (That stop on the trip also included this wise advice for kilt clad guys from Charlie Murray of the Highland Games Association: “Don’t go to command if you’re upset,” and I think this is wisdom for many people in life Situations.) They hit a couple of golf balls in St. Andrews.
On the way, Heughan and McTavish agree to a bet: whoever loses the most sporting events during this stage will dive into the North Atlantic. And while Heughan is pretty sure McTavish will be the one to take the cool plunge, his final stop – rugby practice at Murray Stadium – proves he’s wrong.
After the cracked couple drank their now traditional whiskey at the end of the episode, All Heughan has to do is banish his Breeks and take the plunge. What he does … after a long, natural sprint over a lot of sand thanks to the ebb tide.
We definitely wouldn’t miss the opportunity to talk to Heughan and McTavish about their friendly bet, suit-free swimming, and the possibility of it all happening again in a possible second season. So press PLAY in the video below to dive deep into Sam’s Dip, then hit the comments with your thoughts!
