Kantor is a phenomenal force that is expected to have a great magnetic attraction, all of which stems from his violent original sounds. Kantor offers a wide range of electronic atmospheres and tempos, typically including mid-tempo-to-house structures, and doesn’t take any genre off the table.
His latest single “Floppy Disk” is no exception to the size we would expect from this exceptionally talented artist. It fuses bass and tech house beautifully, with a wobbly bass line and booming drums to make this feel like something that stretches from the London underground club circuit to the main stage at EDC. The vocal sampling is flawless and gives the instrumentation the perfect touch, cementing this single as a surefire success.
Here’s what Kantor had to say about it:
“’Floppy Disk’ is the next step in sound design that I’ve dreamed of for many years. There was a desire to further fuse the elements of techno and bass and with ‘Floppy Disk’ the result was really fun. The lyrics are my take on someone who doesn’t understand old computers and just gets confused while using the pun “paste this hard copy” both literally and metaphorically. The result turned out exactly how I wanted it to be, and it’s sure to be an experience listening to it in a car or on a submarine! “
