Justice’s Gaspard Augé shares new song “Force Majeure”: listen

Gaspard Augé, known as half of the French electronic duo Justice, has released his first single as a solo artist. It’s called “Force Majeure” and is released by Genesis, Ed Banger Records and “Weil Musik”. It is slated for his upcoming debut “Escapades”. Listen to the new song below.

The music video “Force Majeure” was shot in Turkey and directed by Filip Nilsson. “We were really drawn to the epic visual appeal of cymbal making: bronze, fire, hammers – something almost mythological and elemental like Vulcan or the Nibelungs,” Augé said in a statement. “We chose the Bosphorus Basin in Turkey because they had this very traditional process that has barely changed over the centuries. In this video, I’m just one link in the chain of production and quality control after all of these cymbals have been melted, hand hammered, and turned into a musical object. “
