After the sudden and tragic news of i_oPasses away insomnia hosts a live stream in his honor.
From the pouring out of messages, condolences, photos and memories, it is evident that i_o, real name Garrett Lockhart, fka Fawksleft a lasting impact on the industry and, apparently, everyone he met.
"This Saturday we're celebrating the life of (i_o)," Insomniac announced in the following post. "Join us for a special legacy livestream, including his beautiful sets from (EDC Las Vegas) and (Virtual Rave-A-Thons)."
"We will always miss you, Garrett."
Every time we hear "Castles In The Sky", "Violence" with Grimes, "Annihilation" with Lights, "Low" or any other i_o production, we hear greatness. It's a bittersweet realization that this innovative talent disappeared way too soon, but his music will live on.
