Bow Wow responds to criticism of Packed Social gathering

Bow Wow faced a backlash from social media after it was revealed that an event he was hosting, with performances by Trey Songz and Meek Mill, was suspended due to COVID-19 regulations.

Bow claims he followed the rules.

"Man, I've been throwing parties all last year," the rapper wrote. "I wore my mask to the club. I can't host this thing." Then he added, "IT WAS NOT MY PARTY. But of course it's my fault. I promise my mask, which I wore in the club until I got to the microphone. That easy. Always keep the disinfectant with me."

Over the weekend, Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner spoke of a "loophole" that would allow some bars and nightclubs to be classified as restaurants so that they can stay open indoors at 50 percent capacity.

"It's ridiculous if these bars and clubs were allowed to classify as restaurants and if you look at these pictures, there is no food on the table, none, that's crazy," said Tuner on Saturday, according to KHOU-11.
