Boosie Badazz informed his fans of his condition after two surgical procedures to save his leg. According to the rapper, things are not looking good for him, as MTO News has learned.
The 38-year-old rapper is now hoping his social media followers will help raise additional funds, hundreds of thousands of dollars, to find a "specialist" who can save his leg.
Boosie, a type 1 diabetic, was shot in the leg in a parking lot in Dallas on November 14. It is speculated that the same shooters who killed MO3 shot Boosie.
In an Instagram post on Friday, Boosie, real name Torrence Hatch Jr., told his followers that he was "not doing that well" and that he didn't have much time to find a specialist before he lost that leg.
Boosie said he needed a lot of money from his fans to pay a "medical specialist" to "repair body parts".
TMZ reported that ball fragments were removed from his leg wound and surgeons added screws to stabilize the bones as the leg heals. Sources say Boosie and his doctors had to diet out to make sure he would be fine under anesthesia, and it took Boosie 24 hours to decide whether he wanted to do the procedures at all.
Type I diabetics are known to heal slowly, especially after traumatic injury.
